After a school bus accident at Kodie in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region, ten pupils were taken to the hospital.
On December 13, 2022, at around 4:00 p.m., an accident between a school bus with the license plate GN 9967-16 and a Kia Rhino with the license plate GE 4850-10 took place.
The Assembly member for Kodie Electoral Area, Hon. Grace Ama Serwaa, said in an interview with OTEC News Jacob Agyenim Boateng that the two vehicles crashed on the road, seriously injuring the students inside.
“I was told the driver of the school bus failed brake, which led to the collision.”
“Six pupils were rushed to Apedwa hospital while the other four were sent to Monree hospital for treatment.”
The Assembly member reveals that the tragic occurrence happened while the pupils were being transported home from school by the Adonia Academy school bus in Tarkwa-Makro.
