The 2023 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) participants received congratulations from Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for their outstanding achievement.
The Vice-President also thanked parents and teachers in a Facebook post for the exceptional achievement that the pupils received in the WASSCE.
The Vice-President stated in response to claims of test misconduct that “this is without a doubt the result of hard work and dedication by all of you.” You have inspired pride in Ghana, and I wish you all the best as you take on even bigger tasks.
He also exhorted the kids to let no one minimize their accomplishments.
“Please don’t let anyone denigrate your achievements. Not everyone can appreciate what it takes to be an intelligent student. You have earned the excellent performances by dint of hard work. God bless you,” the Vice-President stressed.
On Thursday, December 28, 2023, former President Mahama made the suggestion that exam cheating was being tolerated by the government and teachers in order to present an image of an improved educational system.
