The leader and founder of the Ghana Union Movement, Rev. Christian Kwabena Andrews, also known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, claims that he and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer are in a two-horse race for the general election of 2024.
Speaking on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, on the Ghana Kasa show on Kasapa 102.5FM, Osofo Kyiri Abosom said Vice President the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), stated that he has no place in the general election, which is expected to be fiercely contested.
”Bawumia has nothing good for the country, he is an individual who is very tired. The sort of things he preached in opposition he will do for Ghanaians when he’s in power, he’s not been able to do any of them. So what else does he have for Ghana. The 2024 election is between the NDC and GUM. As for Bawumia, he’s far behind, and cannot make any meaningful impact in the forthcoming election.”
Osofo Kyiri Abosom claims that since former President John Mahama was rejected by Ghanaians in 2016 and performed horribly while in office, there is no way to believe that he would accomplish much for the country if elected.
While traveling the nation on his campaign trail, he urged President Mahama to abandon his empty words and empty promises.
