John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has reassured Ghanaians that the country can achieve its aim of realizing a 24-hour economy, which is a major pledge made in his 2024 election campaign.
Mr. Mahama articulated the strategic pillars of his vision in a statement thanking the residents of Ahafo, Bono, and Bono East Regions for their support and insights during his community engagement and town hall sessions.
Mr. Mahama explained how a multimodal strategy may be used to realize the 24-hour economy.
He emphasized the need to increase infrastructure development, make significant investments in technology, strengthen security measures, and prolong the hours that enterprises and key services are open.
The former president claims that this all-encompassing plan will benefit every Ghanaian as it seeks to revive the country’s economy and create previously unheard-of job possibilities.
During his Building Ghana Tour in the Ahafo, Bono, and Bono East Regions, Mr. Mahama expressed gratitude for the positive feedback and enthusiasm he had received. He also praised the wealth of knowledge that Ghanaians had shared.
He urged the populace to keep sharing their thoughts, worries, and aspirations for the future of the country, emphasizing the value of teamwork in creating a better future for Ghana.
Mr. Mahama promised to work toward a Ghana where every child sees a bright future, where there are plenty of well-paying job opportunities, and where infrastructure development acts as a catalyst for community connectivity. He based this commitment on the feedback he received from his community interactions.
Mahama also envisioned a Ghana that is pleased to represent the country internationally.
