Since April 28, 2025, 8,463 chip-embedded passports have been given throughout Ghana, according to Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
The Minister made the news in a Facebook post, emphasizing that there was no additional fee for the courier delivery of the passports to applicants. This comes after the government implemented new Reset Passport Reforms to enhance citizen passport services.
According to the Ministry, the successful distribution demonstrates its dedication to facilitating quicker, simpler, and more secure passport access for all Ghanaians.
