Koku Anyidoho asserts that Atta Mills’ tomb has not been tampered with

Samuel Koku Anyidoho, the head of the Atta Mills Institute and a former adviser to former president John Evans Atta Mills, has refuted accusations of tampering with the late President’s tomb.

Samuel Atta-Mills, a member of parliament for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo Abirem and the brother of the late president, spoke to the media during a news conference on Tuesday. He said Koku Anyidoho and the Coastal Development Authority had damaged the tomb without consulting the family.

In response to the accusations, Mr. Anyidoho stated that he would not tolerate the insults directed at him and insisted that the entire purpose of his action was to honor the late former President. He addressed Zoe Abu-Baidoo from the media.

The Asomdwee Park, Ghana’s first presidential mausoleum and the final resting place of late President John Evans Attah Mills, is currently in a terrible condition.

There are rumors that the park was no longer secure since the security had deteriorated to such an extent that it was no longer a secure location at least worthy of honoring prior presidents.

Given that portion of the fencing enclosing the late President’s grave has been damaged, neither the park nor its condition are very noteworthy.

Professor John Evans Atta Mills previously served as Vice-President under President Jerry Rawlings from 1997 to 2001. He also ran unsuccessfully for president in the National Democratic Congress in the elections of 2000 and 2004. (NDC).
