As a result of her proclamation that she would support Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Madam Akua Afriyie, a member of the National Democratic Congress in Kumawu, has been fired.

Despite being a member of the opposition National Democratic Congress, she has expressed her respect for the NPP presidential candidate.

She claims that she was fired shortly after the video showing her endorsing Alan during the Kumawu by-election went viral.

She had made it known to everyone that, despite being a member of the NDC, she would gladly support Alan in the 2024 elections if he were chosen as the NPP’s candidate. At that time, she claimed that Alan had a vision that could salvage our nation and inspire the thronging youth.

The NDC took offense to her comments since she has subsequently become the talk of the town in political circles.

Akua Afriyie claims that after receiving a letter of dismissal, she is now a floating voter.

“Although I do not currently belong to the NDC or the NPP, I am a fervent supporter of Mr. Kyerematen.”

She has warned that she Akua will just skip the 2024 elections if the NPP denies Mr. Kyerematen the chance to lead the party.

Akua Afriyie is one of the many NDC supporters whose passion for Mr. Kyerematen transcends party affiliation, supporting the idea that the NPP will triumph in the 2024 election thanks to Alan.

During this time, a large number of people attended the constituency delegates durbars for the Kumawu, Afram Plains, and Effiduase Asokore constituencies, pledging that Alan would win this election.

The delegates reaffirmed in unison that astute Ghanaians are now fully woken from their sleep and would not permit themselves to be caught off guard.

They argued that this time around, Alan should be given every opportunity to lead the party.
