The Ashaiman Market was completely destroyed by fire on September 10th. According to reports, the sad tragedy destroyed almost 40 stores.
Even though there were no reported deaths, it took a tremendous amount of effort on the part of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) staff to put out the fire.
Two water tanks from Tema RHQ and the GHAPOHA Fire Department and firefighters from the Motorway, Tema Metro, and Tema Industrial Area Fire Stations tackled the blaze.
Although officials have already taken precautions, the precise origin of the fire is still being investigated.
The impacted region was subsequently disconnected by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
