Dennis Kwakwa, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Ashanti Regional Communications Officer, has declared his intention to leave his post today September 18, 2023.
Since taking on this position over year ago, Dennis Kwakwa has expressed his sincere thanks for the opportunity.
According to a letter announcing his resignation, Dennis Kwakwa worked closely with devoted and enthusiastic people who shared a same aim of furthering the NPP’s ideas and ideals within the Ashanti Region headed by Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.
In a letter addressed to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership Mr Kwakwa stated:
‘I write to indicate my decision to resign from my position as the Communication Officer for the region” he said.
Though I love and cherish working in such a role, it is a requirement I have to fulfil in order to pursue other political goals in my political career” the letter added.

Kwakwa is the former Regional Youth Organiser of the party. He was the youngest person to hold such a post. Party members has praised Kwakwa for his excellent communication skills.
Kwakwa has been a professional teacher for more than 12 years. Before being named the Ashanti Regional NABCO Coordinator in 2018, a post he has held to this day, he worked for the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) as a district manager.
Aside from that, his efforts as the Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser contributed to a rise in the party’s electoral votes in the general elections of 2020. He founded the Free SHS Graduates Association as well.
