NPP orders Ministers to publicize their industries’ success stories, just like Alan did

Justin Frimpong Kodua the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) has urged the appointees of President Akufo-Addo to emulate Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen the former Trade and Industry by propagating the good works under their various mimnistries.

The NPP General Secretary urged others to follow the former minister’s lead in praising the government’s accomplishments in his field while he was still in office.

Justin Kodua urged ministers and other appointees to also highlight the great work being done in their fields when he spoke to the media to respond to some allegations made by Alan Kyerematen against the NPP when he announced his resignation from the party and his candidacy for election in 2024 as an independent candidate.

“We use this opportunity to commend Mr. Kyerematen for admitting the good work the government has done under his then-ministry, namely, the establishment of 1 District 1 Factory initiative, the establishment of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) with the headquarters of the Secretariat in Ghana, the development of new strategic anchor industries, including automobile assembly and component manufacturing…

“indeed, the NPP has done well. The party further urges all sector ministers and other government appointees to also start propagating the unprecedented achievements of the government in their respective sectors, just as Mr. Kyerematen has done,” Mr Frimpong Kodua stated.

The NPP General Secretary also said that the party was dissatisfied in how Alan Kyerematen, a former candidate for the party’s flagbearer position, announced his unexpected departure.

On Monday, September 25, Alan Kyerematen publicly announced his departure from the NPP at a news conference held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel. He declared his ambition to form the Movement for Change and run as an Independent Candidate in the 2024 elections.
