MP pleads for calm in Offinso chieftaincy dispute

Regarding the chieftaincy issues in the Offinso traditional region, Hon. Augustine Collins Ntim, Member of Parliament (MP) for Offinso North Constituency and Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, has urged for calm.

In an interview with Ghanatodayonline today, the MP encouraged the irate citizens of Offinso North to trust Otumfour.As Osei Tutu II, the Asantihene, resolves the Offinso chieftancy issue peacefully,

“Let’s all smoke a peace pipe, Otumfour is God’s gift to Asanteman and the wisdom and knowledge God has given to our king is unbelievable, his words are full of wisdom that the lay man will not understand him but that is the solution to the problem” he said

As they voiced their concerns about the chieftaincy issue in Offinso, Hon. Collins Ntim warned irate citizens to refrain from making careless remarks disparaging the King and to keep in mind the importance of maintaining peace in the community.

Hon. Augustine Ntim said, “Let’s pray for the King and Asantiman and strongly believe Offinso chieftancy problem will be settled.”

Hon. Ntim went on to say that although the chieftaincy issue has caused a delay in the process of solving it, patience is required to solve the issue.
