Kwabena Adjei Agyepong, the former general secretary of the NPP, has praised Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his generous nature.

Ten candidates ran for the NPP flagbearership, which Dr. Bawumia won. Since then, Kwabena Agyepong has shown his support for the Vice President.

The former general secretary said that he is supporting Dr. Bawumia because he has shown himself to be a unifier while speaking to members of the New Patriotic Party in Volta Region on Sunday during the Veep “Thank You” tour.

“I was one of the ten candidates running for the position, and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was declared the winner to head our party. Kwabena Agyepong stated that in these kinds of competitions, the victorious must exhibit generosity in triumph and the vanquished must demonstrate grace in loss.

“Dr. Bawumia, who emerged victorious, has shown generosity by paying a visit to each and every one of his opponents,” he continued. We were all four seated at the same table last Friday in Kumasi, and it was really lovely.”

“He has demonstrated that he is a unifier and I have also been gracious in defeat, so we are working together to ensure that he wins and the party wins in 2024″ , he added.

The winners and losers of the party’s most recent parliamentary primaries, along with the party executives in the Region, were urged by Kwabena Agyepong to unite and strive toward boosting the party’s vote share in 2024.

Since 1992, we have had more votes here, and in shaa Allah, I have high hopes that with Dr. Bawumia, we will have even more and win next year. Thus, let’s band together and strive for success.”

NPP National Chairman Stephen Ayesu Ntim and Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, the Member of Parliament for Efiduase in the Ashanti Region, were part of Dr. Bawumia’s delegation.
