Starting today, January 1, 2024, several Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have lowered the prices of petroleum products at the pump.
For the second time in a row, gas prices are declining.
One of the main competitors, Star Oil, took the lead by lowering the price of a litre of gasoline from ¢12.69 to ¢11.24.
In a similar vein, a litre of diesel is now being sold for ¢11.24 instead of ¢11.69.
In the upcoming hours, it is anticipated that the other big OMCs will likewise lower their prices.
Nonetheless, observers of the market will give top priority to the margin of price reduction for petroleum products.
Ghanatodayonline.com was previously informed by a few of the OMCs that the decrease was caused by the cedi’s stability over the previous two weeks as well as the ongoing decline in the price of finished petroleum products on the global market.
