On Thursday night, Ghana’s two goals from star player Mohamed Kudus were insufficient to win against Egypt.
Kudus Mohammed gave the Black Stars, who were looking for their first victory of the competition, the lead in the 45th minute, but they lost it in the 69th.
Nevertheless, the midfielder for West Ham gave the team the lead back, only for the Stars to give it up once more in the 74th minute, resulting in a 2-2 draw at the end of regulation.
Inaki Williams made two simple errors that cost Ghana the chance to win the African Cup of Nations. Williams’ back pass to an opponent allowed Ghana to give up the opening goal.
To secure a draw for his team, Mostafa Mohamed took advantage of another error made by winger Osman Bukari in the penalty area.
With only one point, the draw puts Ghana in a difficult position ahead of their final group match against Mozambique on Monday.
