According to reports, a car accident on the Amasaman-Nsawam road in the Greater Accra Region claimed the lives of seven people.
Seven of the ten people on board are reported to have died when a tanker collided with a trotro vehicle on Monday.
Eyewitness Alex Ahenkorah told Ghanatodayonline.com that the tanker driver lost control of his brakes and collided with the commercial vehicle.
When the commercial driver reached a section of the road that is being rebuilt because there is a hole in it, he slowed down.
He said, “Unfortunately, the tanker driver behind crashed into it and completely destroyed it.”
He claimed that although bystanders were able to free the victims from the wrecked car, the majority of them were not responding.
