Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate for 2024, has urged Ghanaians to live in peace as it is a key component of how the nation may be developed for both its current and future generations of residents.
The NPP flagbearer stated in a statement included in his speech commemorating Ghana’s 67th anniversary of independence that while much has been accomplished, a better future for all Ghanaians may still be built through unity.
‘’So much has been achieved, so much to be accomplished. With unity and one purpose, it is possible we can build a brighter Ghana for all citizens and the next generation’’ the statement said.
Ghana’s Eastern Regional Capital, Koforidua, is hosting the country’s 67th Independence Day Anniversary celebration. Political parties, religious leaders, traditional leaders, and dignitaries from all around the nation have congregated to mark the occasion.
All 15 of the regional capitals are observing the day as well. On this day, March 6, 2024, almost all district, municipal, and metropolitan capitals will also be commemorating Independence Day.
The Ivory Coast’s President, H.E. Alassane Ouattara, is the honored guest at the Eastern Regional Capital’s celebration of Independence Day. On March 6, 1957, 67 years ago, Ghana gained independence from its British colonial overlords.
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was accompanied by his beautiful wife, Hajia Samira Bawumia and members of his newly constituted campaign team chaired by MP for Okere, Daniel Kwaku Botwe.
