From 23.2 percent in February 2024 to 25.8 percent in March 2024, there has been a 2.6 percentage point increase in inflation.
Notably, from 27.0 percent in February to 29.6 percent in March, the food inflation rate has also significantly increased.
On the other hand, the non-food inflation rate for March was recorded at 22.6%.
On Wednesday, April 10, government statistician professor Samuel Kobina Annim disclosed this information.
“In March 2024, the inflation rate reached 25.8 percent, representing a year-on-year increase compared to the 23.2 percent recorded in February 2024. This indicates a notable surge in inflation by 2.6 percentage points, rising from 23.2 percent to 25.8 percent for March 2024,” he disclosed it in an interview with media.
