The nationwide applications for security agency proxy voting and vote transfers have been reopened, according to the Electoral Commission (EC).
In a press release dated July 2 and bearing the signature of Fred Tetteh, Deputy Director of Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation, EC said that the exercise will take place nationwide in all of its district offices.
The drill is anticipated to begin on Wednesday, July 3, and last through Friday, July 5, 2024, it was further said.
“This comes to inform the General Public that the Electoral Commission will re-open the Applications for the Transfer of Votes and Proxy Voting across the country for Security Agencies in all its District Offices across the country,” the statement indicates.
The press release also stated that the Commission will expand the application for the vote transfer to 25 public universities and prisons nationwide.
The Electoral Commission said that from Saturday, July 6, to Sunday, July 7, 2024, applications for special voting will be reopened for the media and security agencies.
