For those who have shown interest in joining the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, or Ghana Immigration Service in 2021, recruiting possibilities have been provided.

The Ghana Police Service will begin recruiting interested and eligible Ghanaians on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

Graduate General Duties and General Duty Recruits are two of the available categories. By Tuesday, August 13, 2024, candidates from the 2021 recruitment cycle must send their complete name, date of birth, place of birth, reference number, phone number, email address, prior screening center, and qualifications to the email address recruitment@police.gov.gh.

In addition to being of good character, being born in Ghana, not having a criminal record, and never having had their employment terminated from the public sector or another job, applicants must also fulfill a number of general conditions. A minimum of five SSCE/WASSCE passes, including English and Mathematics, are required of candidates, who must also be between the ages of 18 and 28 and in good physical and medical health as of December 1, 2021. For men, the minimum height requirement is 5 feet 8 inches, while for women, it is 5 feet 4 inches.

Those who applied in 2021 will also be given job possibilities by the Ghana Immigration Service. By the same deadline, interested applicants should provide the same information to recruitment@immigration.gov.gh, as needed by the Police Service. The Immigration Service’s general standards, which include age, character, and academic standing, must all be met by applicants.

Recruitment opportunities for General Duty Recruits, Tradesmen Recruits, Sportsmen/women Recruits, General Duty Graduates, and Graduate Professionals have been advertised by the Ghana Prisons Service. Candidates from 2021 should send an email to recruitment@ghanaprisons.gov.gh with their information.

Being a native of Ghana, having excellent moral character, having no criminal record, having not been fired from public employment, and fulfilling certain height standards five feet six inches for men and five feet two inches for women are among the general prerequisites. The minimum and maximum ages are 18 and 33, respectively, with the exception of athletes, who must be between the ages of 18 and 25.

Successful applicants will be called for the following round, which entails body selection, document inspection, medical exams, and extensive background checks, for all three services. The expenses of the screening and medical examination procedure will be borne by the applicants, who will also be in charge of their own lodging, food, and transportation throughout the hiring process.

In addition to stressing that they are equal opportunity employers, the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, and Ghana Immigration Service caution against doing business with intermediaries or brokers, stating that doing so is at the applicant’s own risk and might result in arrest and punishment.

Applications must be submitted by Tuesday, August 13, 2024. It is strongly advised that applicants confirm the validity of any credentials and that all information given is accurate. Application forms submitted in person won’t be accepted.
