The New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, have been accused by Malik Basintale, the NDC’s deputy national communication officer, of stealing policies from their 2020 manifesto.

Malik claims that NPP representatives produced proof of more than 50 stolen policies, including pledges to eliminate e-levy, build a women’s bank, and provide $50 million to support the Fintech sector in addition to providing free tertiary education for those with disabilities.

“Bawumia has stolen our policies and put them in their manifesto. He’s bereft of ideas and solutions. Ghanaians deserve original ideas, not stolen promises.” Malik said during a GHOne TV interview with Joshua Kodjo Mensah.

According to the NDC, Bawumia has been copying policies from their 2020 manifesto because he lacks vision and ideas for solving Ghana’s challenges.

“Bawumia has been in power for eight years and has failed to address the country’s challenges. Now, he’s resorting to plagiarism,” Malik said.

As they continue to be seen as the answer to Ghana’s problems the NDC has pledged to implement its policies again.
