The people of the Upper East Region have been exhorted by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to fully support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the approaching December elections.
In the run-up to the national elections, he characterized Dr. Bawumia as the personification of Ghanaians’ dreams and wishes.
On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, President Akufo-Addo spoke to chiefs and elders on a one-day visit to the region, urging voters to support the NPP by placing their ballots in the number one.
“I came here to give you an account of my stewardship, thank you for your support, and to urge you to seriously consider the importance of choosing someone who will continue the policies we have initiated—policies that have brought relief, progress, and development to our country,” Nana Akufo-Addo said.
He continued, highlighting how voters had an easy choice to make: “This election is a simple one.” All you have to do is look for number one when you go to the polls; you will notice the elephant there. There’s no need to proceed further.
