According to Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Chairman of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), a John Mahama-led administration in Ghana will be “scary for bad people.”
Speaking to supporters on a three-day regional tour in Sandema, Upper East Region, Mr. Nketia emphasized the party’s resolve to reclaim all pesewas that have been wrongfully taken by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
During his speech, Mr. Nketia gave party members the assurance that the NDC will respect law-abiding individuals’ rights to justice and fairness while bringing those responsible for corruption and mishandling public funds accountable.
“Let me assure you, the Mahama government is not scary for good people but certainly going to be scary for bad people in this country,” he asserted.
He exhorted all people to uphold the values of good citizenship, whether they work for the government or for private companies.
“Because when we come to power, we must set standards that’ll be followed by generations yet unborn. And that is the surest way of ensuring development in this country,” Asiedu Nketia stated.
