Man, aged 30, has been identified as a person of interest by community leaders in Aboabo, a suburb of Kumasi, due to his involvement in bi-sexuality.

The thirty year-old ,Adnan Ibrahim, who works at Baby Williams laundry and cleaning services has been sought after by Muslim community leaders for his prolonged engagement in such activities with another male individual named Alhaji Musah.

It has been reported that Mr. Adnan has been discreetly engaging in intimate relations with males in the vicinity, despite being married.

Aboabo is situated in the Asawase Constituency of the Ashanti Region where Muslims constitute the predominant group.

In Islam, as well as in other religious institutions, there is a strong disapproval towards bisexuality. Therefore, it is deemed inappropriate for any adherent of the Muslim faith to engage in such behaviors.

As per the pronouncement of the Chief Imam of the locality, Sheikh Zakaria, he was informed that the individual in question has been clandestinely participating in homosexual activities with young males within the community. If appropriate measures are not taken promptly, there is a concern that he may further influence and involve additional young boys in such acts.

According to some eyewitnesses, fortune evaded the perpetrator and his male accomplice, leading them to be apprehended and subjected to brutal assaults by the members of the community.

Sheikh Zakaria, however, urged that Master Adnan be brought in for counseling, yet his plea fell on deaf ears.

Despite the counseling request, Master Adnan persisted in his actions outside the community. Sensing imminent peril, he absconded to seek refuge with his father’s acquaintance in Accra.

Recognizing the inherent risks associated with his behavior, his family expeditiously pooled resources and coordinated his departure from the community.

Sources reveal that he departed from Ghana and successfully journeyed to Canada, where he is presently pursuing asylum.

His spouse, driven by ostracism and despair, departed from the community while his kin implored the forgiveness of their progeny.

Subsequently, the community’s younger generation has banded together to apprehend individuals engaged in such conduct and have issued a warrant for the capture of Master Adnan.

The incidence happened within 7- 14th April, 2024.
