Controller General kept 3 resigned Immigration officers on the payroll at the cost of Gh¢99,000-A-G report

The Controller General kept three resigned Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) officers on the payroll at the Accra headquarters, which resulted in the payment of GH99,843.64 in unearned wages.

Regulation 88 of the Public Financial Management Regulations, 2019 is broken by this (L.I. 2378).

The Controller-General should attempt to collect the sum of GH99,843.64 from the concerned officials; in the event that this is unsuccessful, the Comptroller-General should pay the amount.
