All appointments and recruitments into the Public Service made after December 7, 2024, have been revoked by Chief of Staff Julius Debrah.

All heads of government institutions have received a confidential letter telling them to follow the directive, which Ghanatodayonline.com intercepted.

People who were hired or appointed to a variety of public sector positions following the general elections in 2024 are anticipated to be impacted by the ruling.

Although the revocation’s precise grounds have not been disclosed, sources indicate that it is a component of the government’s initiatives to guarantee equity and transparency in the process of public sector transition.

“Consistent with Government pronouncement in relation to near end of tenure appointments and recruitments, I wish to bring to your attention that all appointments and recruitments made in the Public Services of Ghana after 7th December, 2024 are not in compliance with established good governance practices and principles” the letter stated.

“Accordingly, all Heads of Government Institutions are hereby requested to take the necessary steps to annul any such appointments or recruitments and submit a comprehensive report on the actions taken to this Office by 17th February 2025. Your cooperation in this matter is highly appreciated” the letter added.
