New security chiefs have been appointed by President John Dramani Mahama to lead Ghana’s important institutions.
DDGP 3 Patience Baffoe-Bonnie will be the Director-General of the Ghana Prisons Service, according to a statement released by the Presidency’s Communications Wing.
Furthermore, DCI Samuel Basentale Amadu was named the Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service, while DCFO Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong was appointed Chief Fire Officer.
On Friday, March 14, after President Mahama swore in COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the new Inspector General of Police, the appointments were made public.
IGP George Akuffo-Dampare, who had been in charge of the Police Service since 2021 after being chosen by former President Akufo-Addo, is replaced by COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno.
