Joyce Bawah Mogtari, President John Dramani Mahama’s Special Aide and Presidential Advisor, has formally asked that Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), retract his statements, issue a public apology, and pay GH₵10 million.

This comes after Abronye allegedly made derogatory comments in a televised interview that aired on Net 2 TV on March 26, 2025.

Mrs. Mogtari’s attorneys accused Abronye of making “false, reckless, and malicious” statements in a legal notice published by R.O. Solomon Consulting on April 3, 2025.

The legal team claims that the comments have provoked a flurry of negative public comments and ongoing questions from both personal and professional communities.

They stressed that Abronye’s claims were not only unfounded but also unsupported by any evidence, particularly since information on Mrs. Mogtari’s appointment is not classified and could have been easily confirmed.

Her attorneys argue that Abronye’s claims are wholly unfounded and untrue, particularly since details on Mrs. Mogtari’s appointment are readily available to the public and could have been easily confirmed.

They contend that in addition to his careless actions, he made a conscious effort to damage her reputation.
