Seventeen police officers, including two senior officers, have been promoted by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno in appreciation of their excellent behavior, professionalism, and commitment to duty.
On January 14, 2026, the promotions were made public.
The officers’ outstanding performance, especially their dedication to operational excellence, discipline, and national duty, is recognized by the elevation.
The action is a component of the Ghana Police Service’s larger initiative to encourage employees who exhibit honesty and exceptional dedication while performing their duties.
Along with members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), IGP Yohuno thanked the promoted officers and urged them to see their new positions as a call to increased accountability, leadership, and responsibility.
Additionally, he urged everyone in the workforce to uphold the greatest standards of loyalty, professionalism, and public service.
In an effort to raise spirits and improve efficient policing throughout the nation, the Ghana Police Service reiterated its dedication to rewarding excellence and recognizing merit.
