President John Dramani Mahama has shared an encouraging message to the youth at Ghana’s 69th Independence Day festivities at the Jubilee House, emphasizing the unique opportunities present for their generation

“To the young people of this country, I see you, and I hear you, and I believe in your potential, you belong to a generation that is armed with tools and opportunities that earlier generations could hardly have imagined” President Mahama said.

He emphasised the transformative power of technology in the hands of young Ghanaians.

“In your hand, a smartphone transforms into a classroom, in your hands, a smartphone transforms into a business platform, in your hands, a smartphone transforms into a creative studio and gateway to a global economy,” he added.

The President urged youth to utilize these resources wisely and inventively to build competencies, start businesses, and make significant contributions to national progress.

He emphasized that their creativity and proactivity are essential for shaping the future of Ghana.

President Mahama encouraged the youth to stay focused, determined, and dedicated to seizing the opportunities available to them, emphasizing that with vision and persistence, they can guide the nation toward greater prosperity and inclusiveness.
