President Akufo-Addo travels to Brussels, Kigali

President Akufo-Addo, left the shores of Ghana over the weekend for the 15th Edition of the European Development Days Forum in Brussels, Belgium, in addition to the 26th Meeting of the Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Nations in Kigali, Rwanda.

President Akufo-Addo is one of eleven leaders speaking at the opening ceremony of the European Development Days Forum. Organised through the European Commission, the discussion board brings key actors collectively to proportion thoughts and experiences in methods that encourage new partnerships and progressive solutions to the world’s most urgent challenges.

The President is likewise anticipated to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the development of an mRNA vaccine factory in Kigali. BioNTech is putting in modular “turnkey” mRNA vaccine centers to provide the vaccine in Rwanda and Senegal – with a fill-and-finish collaboration in Ghana as well.

He went with the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, and officers from the presidency and foreign ministry. President Akufo-Addo will go back to Ghana on Saturday, 25th June, and in his absence, the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, shall act in his stead.
