The Save Our Lives Ghana orphanage facility, located in Anwiankwanta in the Bekwai municipal in the Ashanti region, has received food donations and sweets from the USA-based Frank Kapo Foundation.
Bags of rice, cooking oil, canned goods, shoes, tissues, clothing, diapers, hand sanitizers, soaps, and an undisclosed sum of money were were among the gifts.
On January 1, 2023, a free medical screening exercise for the inmates of the facility included checking their ears, noses, eyes, throats, and chests.
Samuel Oppong, speaking on behalf of the foundation, stated that aiding the needy and the disadvantaged in society is part of their main mission as he delivered the goods and the money to the house.
He pointed out that the detainees had become orphans through no fault of their own and were now residing in orphanages; as a result, they need assistance from society.
“The founder of the foundation, Dr Frank Opoku Adu Brenya, believes that helping the poor is a surest way of helping them realizing their hidden potentials and putting smiles on their faces,” he said.
He exhorted the inmates to be obedient, pay attention to the authorities’ instructions, take their studies seriously, and—most importantly—not to let their circumstances demoralize them.
After accepting the gifts and money, Paulina Opei thanked Dr. Frank Opoku Adu Brenya and his staff for their thoughtful gesture and prayed to God to bless them richly.
She pledged to utilize the gifts for their intended uses and that they will be very helpful in overcoming their difficult problems.
The management of the house has grown problematic because to insufficient resources, she told Ghanatodayonline.com reporter Nana Akwasi Acheampong, particularly in these trying economic times.
She made a call to other charitable people, groups, and corporations to imitate the Frank Kapo Foundation and assist them.
