Ken Ofori-Atta’s appointment as acting minister at the Ministry of Trade and Industry has been revoked by President Akufo-Addo.
Samuel Abu Jinapor, the minister of lands and natural resources, will take over control of the trade ministry, according to a statement from the presidency on Friday.
This follows the uproar that the public experienced when it was decided to name controversial Finance Minister Mr. Ofori-Atta as interim Minister for the Ministry of Trade and Industry after Alan Kyerematen resigned.
The appointment of Jinapor is effective as of Monday, January 16, 2023, pending the selection of a worthy successor to Mr. Alan Kyerematen, the departing Minister.
