According to a Global InfoAnalytics opinion survey, 71% of Ghanaians believe their nation is headed in the wrong direction.
Only 18% of respondents to the survey, which had a sample size of 5,844 people, believed the nation was moving in the right way.
The survey also showed that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia lost the slim advantage he had against Alan Kyeremanten prior to the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primary elections in October of last year.
According to the survey, Dr. Bawumia and Alan received 40% of the NPP voters.
However, compared to 44% to 31% in October of last year, Alan’s margin over Bawumia among general voters has shrunk to 32% from 41%.
Kennedy Agyapong, a member of parliament for Assin Central, is in third place with 14% of the vote.
Voters were asked whether they thought the NPP could “break the 8”; 24% answered yes; 59% said no; and 17% indicated they were unsure.
According to the survey, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo’s job approval rating significantly improved in January 2023, rising from 26% in October 2022 to 32%, while his disapproval rating substantially decreased from 69% in October to 59%.
32% of people approved of the vice president, while 58% disapproved.
In the instance of Alan, 35% of voters thought he did a good job as trade and industry minister, while 45% thought he did a bad job.
