Three vehicles were engaged in a deadly accident at Gomoa Anteadze on the Apam to Cape Coast Highway in the Central Region. One person, a lady in her fifties, perished at the scene, and three others are in critical condition.
The force of the collision caused the deceased’s hand to be severed.
On Monday, February 27, 2023, at about 4:43 PM, the mishap took place.
Nana Sekyi, an eyewitness, told media that a Mitsubishi Outlander traveling from Accra to Cape Coast with the registration number GB 4415 -22 made a mistaken overtake and collided with the side of a Toyota Fish traveling in the opposite direction with the registration number GW 8017 -19.
One person was killed and 23 others were hurt when the Mitsubishi bus collided with the Hyundai 110 that was following the Toyota fish.
At St. Luke’s Catholic Hospital in Apam, the wounded are receiving medical attention, and the deceased’s corpse has been placed in the hospital’s morgue.
The public is being urged by the police and fire department to get an identity while the inquiry is underway.
