Kintampo Highway: 23 passengers killed in gory accident

22 people have died in a horrific mishap between Kintampo and Babatokuma.

There are 17 males, 4 women, and 1 infant among the dead.

Reports state that 21 people passed away immediately and one person passed away at the Kintampo Municipal Hospital.

A trailer vehicle hauling tiles with the license plate GW 1127 P collided with a bus traveling from Yendi to Kumasi with the registration number AS 4635-22.

Some riders claimed the truck driver attempted to swerve a stationary vehicle, though it is still uncertain what exactly occurred.

It entered the opposite lane in the process, almost colliding with the business bus as a result.

While the deceased have been placed at the Kintampo Government Hospital morgue, those who escaped the mishap are being treated there.
