On Saturday, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and the Ministry of Health received the first shipment of measles, BCG, and oral polio vaccines.

Health institutions are turning away parents of unvaccinated infants due to a lack of vaccines.

Due to budgetary difficulties, measles, polio, and tetanus vaccines have been unavailable for a while.

However, the Ministry of Information stated that dispersal of the immunizations to different areas and institutions is in progress in a Facebook post on March 11, 2023, on Saturday.

The Minister added that “more vaccines from a variety of sources are expected in Ghana in the upcoming weeks.”
