The Muslim communities under the authority of the Chief of Ejura Traditional Area, Barimah Osei Hwedie II, have received gifts worth hundreds of cedis.
On Friday, March 31,2023, the supplies, which include ten bags of sugar and ten bags of rice, were delivered to the Muslim communities’ top officials.
The chief claims that the gift is a part of the Ejura Traditional Council’s efforts to help the holy month of Ramadan end successfully.
The Ejura Aboafoourhene, Nana Yaw Appaiah Kontor, and Nana Owusu Aduomi, the chief linguist of the Ejura, handed the goods on behalf of Barima Osei Hwedie II.
Speaking on behalf of Ejurahene Barima Osei Hwedie II, Nana Owusu Aduomi said in an interview with OTEC News Jacob Agyenim Boateng after the presentation that the donation was just one of many things the traditional council will be doing to support the community. He also promised that chiefs would continue to support and help all Muslim communities under the capable leadership of Barima Osei Hwedie II.
In order to hasten development, he urged the Muslim communities to collaborate with the Ejura Traditional Council.
“I spoke to Ejurahene Barima Osei Hwedie II, who happens to be one of prolific chiefs to ever lead us, and he asked me to urged the Muslim communities to pray for unity, love, and peace for the country”.
“All Barimah Osei Hwedie II wants is for Ejura residents to unite for a common goal, which is peace and development, that’s why we are appealing to all to use this special event on the Muslim calendar to engage in activities that will further deepened the love we share already “.
The Public Relations Officer for Ejura Zongo Chiefs, Alhaji Iddi Abdul Kadir, who received the items expressed the gratitude of the Muslims to the chiefs and asked for Allah’s blessings for them

Ramadan, which is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is marked by all Muslim believers worldwide with fasting and prayer to remember when Prophet Mohammed first received the Holy Quran.
On March 23, 2023, Muslims in Ghana began fasting to observe Ramadan, the ninth and holiest month of the Islamic calendar.
Sheikh Armiyawo Shaibu, spokesman for the Chief Imam, made the declaration on Wednesday night.
