The Monday, April 24, 2023, has been designated a public holiday by the Interior Ministry.
This is due to the statutory public holiday known as Eid-ul-Fitr, which falls on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
However, due to the fact that April 22 falls on a Saturday, the president has added a new public holiday to be observed on Monday, April 24, 2023, in accordance with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemoration Days Act (ACT 601).
The holiday should be honored nationwide, according to a statement issued by Mr. Ambrose Dery, Minister of the Interior.

Muslims all across the world observe the holy festival to mark the conclusion of the month-long Ramadan fast from dawn to dusk.
