Attorney Edward Kofi Osei has resigned from the impending NPP internal primaries to choose a candidate for the Kumawu by-election, which are planned for April 23, 2023.

Lawyer Edward Kofi Osei, who finished second in the NPP’s parliamentary primary for 2020, said at a news conference that he withdrew from the race for personal reasons rather than due to rumors that he had been disqualified during the vetting.

He claimed it was never true that he was eliminated from the competition as some conspiracy theorists claimed.

He insisted that his resignation was an effort to bring harmony and quiet to the area.

During the event, he made an appeal to his fans to back his choice and advance the New Patriotic Party’s goal.
