President Akufo-Addo leaves for South Africa

At the invitation of the Democrat Union of Africa (DUA) Annual Forum in Johannesburg, South Africa, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, left the nation on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

The Forum, which will be hosted in Johannesburg from April 26 to 30, 2023, will feature a keynote address from President Akufo-Addo.

Along with representatives from the Presidency and the Foreign Ministry, he was accompanied by Hon. Kwaku Ampratwum, Member of Parliament for Mampong and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs.

On Sunday, April 30, 2023, President Akufo-Addo will return to Ghana. In his absence, Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will act in his place in accordance with Article 60(8) of the Constitution.
