In fifteen constituencies around the nation, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the largest opposition party, has called for presidential and parliamentary elections.
The party stated that this is a part of measures to ensure smooth presidential and parliamentary primaries across the length and breadth of the nation in a release signed by Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, the Deputy General Secretary.
At its meeting on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, the Functional Executives Committee decided that all constituencies—with the exception of Manhyia South, Akwatia, Ayensuano, Afram Plains South, Lower West Akim, Adansi Asokwa, Mampong, Ayawaso West Wuogon—would hold presidential and parliamentary primaries.
The remaining constituencies are Effutu, Odododiodio, Amenfi East, Gomoa Central, Akontombra, Tano North, and Assin North.
