Prior to the King’s Coronation on Saturday, May 6, 2023, King Charles III today greeted the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and his wife, Lady Julia, at Buckingham Palace.
The Asantehene and his wife are in London at the Royal family’s invitation, where they are meeting with other monarchs and heads of state from around the world.

On Saturday, they’ll gather at Westminster Abbey for what’s anticipated to be a feast of pomp celebrating the first coronation in more than 70 years.
They will attend the King’s official reception for foreign guests on May 5, 2023, in addition to today’s private audience at Buckingham Palace.
