As part of celebrations for Mother’s Day this year, MTN Ghana delivered a special gift to more than 500 women around the nation.

At the Golden Eagle Cinema in Kumasi, a number of mothers were given the opportunity to experience MTN Movie Mania. Other mothers received gifts from Max Mart and Melcom, including electronic certificates for internet shopping. The “Fast and Furious” movie premiere at the Silver Bird Cinema in Accra Mall will continue the festivities on May 19, 2023.

Commenting on the celebration, the Senior Manager for Consumer Marketing at MTN Ghana, Mrs. Nana Asantewaa Amegashie, said, “Mothers occupy a special place in the family system, working to ensure that families are well nurtured for the benefit of the entire society.  As the biggest family in Ghana, MTN decided to use the Mother’s Day occasion to allow mothers to take a break from their daily activities, have some fun and enjoy some gifts. We celebrate mothers for their priceless contributions to the growth of the MTN brand”.

The recipients of this year’s festivities expressed their gratitude to MTN for being considerate and for honouring them as mothers who make major contributions to Ghana’s development, not just as customers.  They commended MTN for its accomplishments throughout the years, particularly for its customer-satisfying loyalty programs.

One of the cutting-edge initiatives MTN launched nine years ago to honor loyal high-value customers was the MTN Movie Mania. It offers clients free movie tickets to use at the Accra Mall’s Silver Bird Cinema.

Mother’s Day is a day celebrated around the world every second week in May as a way to honor and show love to moms.

The event aims to honor mothers’ contributions to society, the loving and care they provide for their children, as well as other significant societal responsibilities women perform.  As part of the Mother’s Day celebrations, MTN has chosen a few mothers from its network over the years and honored them with various special gifts.
