A former political Science lecturer of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr. Richard Amoako Baah has described as a needless, praises sang by President Akufo-Addo on Freddie Blay.
President Nana Akuffo-Addo while ending his speech during the ruling NPP’s national delegates conference over the weekend heaped praises on outgoing national chairman Mr. Freddie Blay for his extraordinary work done so far for the party. According to the President, Mr. Blay stepped in and helped rescue the party and won power when they were in dire crisis.
Responding on Otec FM’s morning show Nyansapo after host Captain Koda had asked about his view on the President’s praise, the NPP Founding member described it as a friendly populist one.
According to him, Freddie Blay during his tenure had no achievement to boost about and therefore does not side with the President.
Mr Baah said the party has witnessed series of issues under Mr. Blay which he could not address as a leader.
He added that under the Freddie Blay administration, electoral process has not been smooth and that has led to a lot of anger so such a leader doesn’t deserve such praises.
