Students in their final year of junior high school have been instructed to follow instructions in the examination hall in order to prevent paper cancellations.
Students must always abide by a number of rules and regulations in examination halls, according to Mr. Yaw Opoku Mensah, Special Assistant to the Director General of Ghana Education Service.
“Sit when you’re asked to, start work when instructed and make sure not to offend examination officials”.
He cautioned students not to send foreign materials to the examination hall.
“Fully equipped mathematical sets and your pen are the major materials you need to go along with”, he stated.
This was revealed when he visited many Ashanti region schools to support BECE students ahead their final exams.
He also provided mathematical sets to assist the students.
Among the schools are Sekyere Central District’s Anwonya D/A Basic School and Atwea D/A Basic School. In the Kumasi Metropolis are the other three: Abrotia M/A Basic School, Awere M/A Basic School, and Obiri Yeboah M/A Basic School.
Head teacher of Anwonya D/A Basic School, Mr. Oppong Alhassan, thanked Mr. Yaw Opoku for his thoughtful actions and urged the government and businesses to assist in resolving certain issues hindering the school’s academic success.
