A 19-year-old Okada rider was brutally murdered by unidentified assailants in Dwaaho, Ahafo Ano North District, Ashanti Region.
The deceased, a local motorbike rider, was discovered dead with a slit neck and many knife wounds.
Hon. Yaw Opoku, the local Assembly member, claims that a group of unidentified persons hired the deceased to drive them to Asuhyia.
On Thursday, October 25, 2024, the attackers turned against him and attacked him, killing him.
The Assembly Member told OTEC News Reporter Oheneba Kwaku Atta Apossor that police are now looking into the issue and that the motivation behind the horrific murder is yet unclear.
The terrible tragedy has left the Dwaaho community in shock and sadness.
The public has been reassured by the police that they are making every effort to arrest the criminals and prosecute them.
Anyone with knowledge on the event is being urged by the authorities to come forward and help with the investigation.
