A truly committed member of our administration and party – Bawumia mourns John Kumah

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president, has expressed shock and grief at Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah’s passing.

In his sympathy statement to the young politician’s family, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party offered a loving homage to John Kumah, characterizing him as a dedicated member of the party and the government, both of which he was an essential part of until his demise.

 “A truly committed member of our administration, and party, who dedicated his all to the success of our endeavours. Rest well John” Dr. Bawumia wrote on his social media handles.

The Spokesperson for the late Deputy Finance Minister Lawyer John Ampontuah Kumah Mr Kwasi Owusu Twumasi has revealed the Minister died at Suhum while on his way to hospital for treatment in Accra

According to him the deputy minister died on March 7, 2024 in an ambulance with his wife and personal doctor besides him.

He noted that, the late Ejisu MP was booked to fly to Germany for treatment but had to be rushed to hospital after his condition got critical.

Speaking to Ghanatodayonline.com reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng on Thursday Mr Twumasi described the late MPs death was a huge blow to the Ejisu Constituency

John Kumah, a lawyer and businessman with over 15 years of expertise in leadership, creativity, invention, and resourcefulness in job creation and youth development, has served as the Member of Parliament for Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.

During his tenure as the inaugural CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), he effectively established the program as the driving force behind Ghana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Kumah was a founder member and managing partner of the legal business Aduaprokye Chambers before entering the government service. In addition, he was the creator of Majak Associates Ltd., a construction and building firm.
