Accra: Man commits suicide by jumping from Achimota overhead bridge

There have been reports of a man jumping to his death in Accra’s Achimota.Witnesses were astonished when the man committed suicide by jumping from the Achimota overhead bridge, according to a report by social media.

All he was doing was running. Nobody was fully aware of what was happening. An eyewitness was reported in the report as saying, “He had already jumped before we could even think to react.”

“He was too quick to be stopped,” the witness recalled.

According to the account, the occurrence happened so fast that a number of onlookers were practically helpless and could only approach the injured victim beneath the bridge.

According to reports, it took some time for the police to get to the scene and remove the deceased’s body because their death had occurred just in front of some eyewitnesses.

Since the authorities are likely to start an investigation to determine the circumstances of the unfortunate incident, neither the deceased’s identification nor his motivation have been determined.
