Sarah Adwoa Safo, a Member of Parliament (MP) for the ruling New Patriotic Party’s Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, visited the offices of her party.
On January 18, 2023, the Dome Kwabenya MP paid an unexpected visit to the party’s offices in Asylum Down, Accra.
During her visit, the MP spoke with Kate Gyamfua, the national Women’s Organizer, Stephen Ayesu Ntim, the NPP’s National Chairman, and Justin Frimpong Kodua, the party’s General Secretary.
The Dome Kwabenya MP made headlines last year when she skipped the scheduled Zoom meeting with the Parliamentary Privileges Committee, which had called her (and possibly two other MPs from the majority caucus) to explain why she had been absent from the house for months without the Speaker’s permission.
The MP returned to the chamber to resume her responsibilities after nearly a year of absence, which sparked a dispute between the Majority and Minority about whether or not her seat should be deemed vacant.
