Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Protection; Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister of Trade and Industry; and Ahmed Ibrahim, Minister of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, have all been approved by Parliament.
Following a debate, the House authorized them on Thursday, January 23, awaiting the President’s swearing-in.
The House also confirmed Haruna Iddrisu as Minister of Education on Wednesday, January 23.
The three ministerial nominations were part of the second group of state ministers announced by President Mahama.
The approval came after the House debated the Appointments Committee’s report after the three ministers-designate were vetted on Monday, January 20, 2025.
